Playhouse Class

CLASS FEATURES
· Small class size with one on one and group attention
· Vocal technique through warm ups and exercises

Featured Workshop
Students will spend the next few months learning how to use their voice as their instrument while being introduced to fun and lively music styles that they will enjoy.  They will become aware of basic musicianship skills such as recognizing note names and reading the music staff, learning to count beats and rhythm patterns as well as learning how to sing vocal melodies and harmonies in a small ensemble setting.  Children will learn proper breathing skills for singing and how to make the best vocal production for their young voices.  The last 3 months of the session will be spent in preparation for our  Showcase where the children will be given an opportunity to be in a live performance!   Children will be taught basic choreography and dance steps that will coordinate with the songs they are learning in the vocal class.  The dance class will teach them basic movement and body balance, proper warm ups of the muscles and how to move on stage for performance purposes. All This training prepares them for their big day on stage!

The Playhouse Singers Class
For Children Grades 1-6
$145 / month 
2-hour class weekly

Special focus on ensemble singing in a small group studying all styles of music. Enhances vocal and speaking skills as well as moderate dance skills. This class produces two live performances per year, with featured solo, duet, and trio numbers from the students in this class.
